Legal Requirements

You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from 2156 Estate Vineyard. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated) and bonafide personal identification will be required by the carrier. Wines purchased by an individual from 2156 Estate Vineyard are not for resale and are for personal consumption only.

Wine purchased by a commercial entity with a properly executed retail sellers’ agreement in writing and in good standing with 2156 Estate Vineyard is permitted for resale.

Credit Card Charges

Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

Minimum Purchase

No minimum purchase is required.  However, the larger the order, the less the product-to-freight ratio will be.

States Authorized for Direct Shipment

Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to all states except Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentuck, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Delaware which are strictly forbidden by local state law.

If 2156 Estate Vineyard is unable to ship directly to your state, we may be able to arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by 2156 Estate Vineyard.

Shipping Costs

Golden State Overnight (GSO) is 2156 Estate Vineyard’s carrier of choice for shipments within the state of California, and some portions of Arizona and Nevada.  GSO’s rates are very competitive with overnight delivery throughout the state of California.   If you have a need for an urgent shipment, we can have it to you quickly at an aggressive rate.

By request, Ground shipping may be provided by Federal Express Ground and Federal Express Air Freight at current market rates. *Note – If the customer selects Fed Ex Air as his or her carrier, the customer may pay all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity

Wine is a perishable commodity.  At 2156 Estate Vineyard we try to arrange shipment so that the wine is not in transit over the weekend or over holidays.  This is to make sure your wine is not caught camping out in the back of a hot truck or van.

Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. 2156 Estate Vineyard is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
